Despite interventions by John Cooper of Architects for Health and John Allan about the costings, and questions from us about the population figures, the disabled access red herring and the fact that on its own terms the ‘consultation’ was hardly a ringing endorsement of NHS Islington’s plans, the Board voted to carry on as per. Interestingly two of the more independent minded of the board weren’t there, but Vice Chair Steve Hitchins flew back from Washington especially that morning.
Never mind, speaking to lawyers now about a judicial review, which it seems there are extremely solid grounds for. We’ll be having a fundraising event soon.
